Abrasive Wheels Training
About Abrasive Wheels Training Any worker who uses power tools with abrasive wheels such as angle grinders, cut-off saws or rotary grinding machines is at risk of injury if they’re not fully aware of the risks involved. Abrasive wheel accidents can be particularly severe, and are often caused by unsafe working practices or operator errors. This online course is designed to provide employees with the knowledge they need to avoid these hazards, helping them to work safely and reduce the risk of injury.
The course begins with an introduction to the different types of abrasive wheels and their applications, before exploring the various safety procedures that should be followed when using them. Employees will learn how to select the correct abrasive wheel for their equipment, and will be able to recognise the abrasive type, grain size and bond. They will also learn how to check the specifications of abrasive wheels, such as their maximum permissible speed and rim width.
Finally, the course will examine the use of guards for abrasive wheels, as well as when it’s necessary to test them. It will also teach employees how to inspect abrasive wheels for damage, and when they need to be replaced. At the end of the course, employees will be required to complete a short multiple-choice test to assess their understanding of the material. If they pass the test, they will receive a ClickHSE course certificate to download and print. This can be used to record the completion of this abrasive wheel awareness training course, and is fully CPD accredited for 1 hour. Abrasive Wheels Training
